In my work with clients, I believe it’s important to approach each person holistically: every aspect of your “self” (mental, emotional, physical, spiritual) is considered integral to your well-being. In my work as a therapist and coach, I am making sure each of these areas gets attention, because in a holistic sense, any neglected aspects can cause imbalance to the whole.
I consider therapy and coaching to be sacred containers, in which we can explore the deepest, and often scariest, questions inside of us: How can I feel better about myself? Am I doing the right thing? What is my purpose? Will I ever get over this? Why do I keep repeating the same patterns? Am I living my best life? Ultimately, it is our task to empower ourselves to make the best choices we can with the freedom and resources we have available to us. This is where I come in!
As someone who is experienced in working with marginalized communities, I work hard to explore the cultural contexts in which my clients exist. Taking a systemic and anti-oppressive stance is often key to understanding where so many of our internalized negative beliefs come from.
Doing deep personal work (be it through therapy, coaching, or hypnotherapy) is a journey of recovery and discovery. At my core, I believe in the human capacity for growth, change and transcendence, and I am grateful to witness these miracles in my clients again and again.
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Transpersonal Life Coach
Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist
Like many of the clients who find their way to me, I was a unique, creative, and weird kid who always felt different. I didn’t quite fit in the way other kids did. I loved the outdoors, I loved animals, and I loved escaping into fictional worlds. As a teen and young adult, I was fascinated by the spiritual realms, and I loved learning about things like astrology, Reiki, and Tarot at a young age.
I have been working in service to humanity (adults, teens, and children) my entire adult life. I have experience in many diverse roles: as a caregiver, a camp counselor, a nanny, a reading tutor, a high school teacher, an advocate, a mental health counselor, a life coach, a supervisor, and a healing arts professional. I have been working as a mental health counselor since 2004, and spent almost a decade in community mental health. I have been in private practice since 2011.
As I developed as a therapist, it became clear to me that something was missing. It was only after I began my hypnotherapy training in 2013 (and shamanic training in 2016) that I realized what it was: I longed to work with clients on a deeper level. I had so many clients whose souls were suffering, and I wanted to do more to help them.
The bulk of my work with clients is transpersonal in nature—which means we are working with not just your personality or ego/human self, but your whole being—light and shadow, seen and unseen, conscious and unconscious, spirit and soul—with the intention of healing on all levels of consciousness. I believe that all human growth should be done at the soul level, so my work with clients has become a blend of therapy, coaching, soul work, and energy medicine. I've found this to be the most powerful and profound healing method, both as a client and as a professional.
My Mission is to be of service to all of humankind—to spread light, to help us all awaken to our spiritual and soul-given gifts, and to facilitate deep healing and transformation on personal and collective levels. It is time for us to do our own deep healing work—it is essential that we care for and transform ourselves now. It is my honor to help you do just that!
